The end of a year long experiment

Most of you probably didn’t notice the change in the blog here. Alesi, our head of marketing, and I wanted to try an experiment in communication. You, dear readers, were part of it. (Sorry, we couldn’t tell you lest it spoil the data.)

The experiment was to see how people responded to a more “corporate” feel to the owner’s blog. That meant sticking to stances, ideas, and far less personal things ─ including mentorship things.

Frankly, I was bored with the concept. Do you know useless it felt writing this blog?

And the feedback?

The readership plummeted, the email list plummeted. Interest in what we’re doing at Insanitek plummeted. Message received, loud and clear. At least about what you didn’t want to see.

The lack of interest, in particular, is what hurt the most. We, I, like being able to talk to all you guys and witness your growth in science. I didn’t get to see any of that this past year due to the lack of interest.

That’s why you can expect a slow return back to a weekly posting that combines both “what’s going on at Insanitek” types of post along with more “consulting” type of posts.

With that, if you have any topics you’d like me to write about, please, let me know in the comments. I’d be glad to answer your questions.
