Retro Smurfette for Charity

Often times I get asked to make things I normally wouldn’t think of. While my brain is thinking about making a Tesla amigurumi, others are asking for Sailor Moon or more recently, Smurfette.

I created this retro version doll based off of dozens of images of Smurfette and the help of some old tutorials of my grandmother’s old crochet books. Once I get the pattern done, I’ll be selling the pattern and finished dolls (upon request) on Etsy. As usual, 15% of the proceeds will go towards Bikers Against Child Abuse.

However, I’m still not ready to put the pattern up for sale yet. I have the pattern 90% typed up, and I’d like to get some pattern testers to test it out first for snags. While I can’t afford to pay pattern testers, as is custom, what I give testers is my gratitude, full community support, and help selling the finished products made from my patterns. Yes, that’s right, I give people full rights to sell items from my patterns; for pattern testers I even help them market them by putting links to their stores so people know who else makes the dolls if they don’t like waiting on my time table.

Interested? Leave a comment below with your name, valid email to send the pattern to, and the reason why you’d like the Smurfette doll along with your proficiency level in the comments box. I’d like people of all levels to test out the pattern. I like them to be easy to read for the newbies and seasoned vets alike.

Comments will automatically close on this in one month. Anyone that comments in that time will get a copy of the pattern after the comment period closes on 30.Sept.2013.
